Jupiter (pictured) is a DNA sexed male Hindi fantail who came to us when his previous owner could not keep him any longer. He arrived with a mate, who died from eggbinding. He has since bonded with a resident pigeon, Flash, who we will allow to go to his new home with him in order to keep them together. Jupiter and Flash currently live outside and given the proper setup could move to an indoor OR outdoor home. We are willing to work with new owners on a case by case basis.
Flash is a barred/checkered homer cross (no picture yet), she has not been DNA'd and though she has taken on more of a female type personality (ie nesting, female position when they attempt to mate, etc) she has never laid any eggs and could very well be male. Regardless, "she" and Jupiter are quite the pair and would like to stay together. :)
Though these two are not going to be typical "pets," for handling and playing with, we will only place them AS pets. They will not go to a home known for breeding, flying, or showing. Fantails especially are not good flyers and neither of these birds were conditioned or bred to fly originally.
