About Sunny

  • Adopted!
  • Adoption Fee: $25
  • Species: Rabbit
  • Color:  /
  • Current Age: 2 Years 3 Months (best estimate)

Sunny has been waiting for a loving home for a very long time, but she's a sweetheart with so much love to give! She's alone in foster care now that her best bunny buddy has been adopted, but our plain little brown bunny is still waiting patiently...

Sundance is a little shy at first but is a sweet bunny. Without a lot of love and attention before coming to us, she never quite learned how good people can be, but she seems to understand through loving foster care that she doesn't have to fear people. She likes to explore in her own time but spends a good bit of her time in her cage of her own free will, because she feels secure there. She needs some time with loving, caring owners. Sundance would do well with gentle, bunny savy children but is a bit shy for some kids. Sunny has become quite a lap bunny, and will sit nicley for petting as long as you are willing to gently pet her. We're happy to report that Sundance is LITTER TRAINED now and while she needs an owner willing to take some time to let her come out of her shell, she'll make a great house bunny for a loving guardian. :) Sunny lives in her own cage but gets along VERY well with her buddy, Hanny, another rabbit available for adoption, and the two are available either separately or to be adopted as a pair!

This gentle, beautiful bunny is spayed, microchipped, and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian.  She has been treated with Revolution to guard against mites and fleas.

____________________________

House rabbits are a lot of fun but please make sure you are ready for the commitment. Bunnies can live for up to 10 years when properly cared for, make sure you've included your new pet in all your plans for your future.   Bunnies need roomy cages, unlimited amounts of hay, fresh greens and veggies, and quality pellets every day.  They are considered by our rescue to be house pets, not outside pets, and they will not be adopted to live in hutches, garages, barns, or cellars (unfinished basements).

We have a special application for bunny adopters which can be downloaded here: http://www.starfishtothesea.org/info/file?file=s148m5394.doc

Sunny's companion, Hanny (adopted) can also be seen on our website.
