The boys are beyond WONDERFUL! They are right at home with everyone. My 110 pound Bloodhound thinks she is their "mother". She cleans them and is very worried when she cannot find them both. The boys let her do whatever she does, occasionally will give her some gentle "I have had enough"
swats, and she gives them some space:) We are all in love with both. They are however insomniacs. They sleep quite soundly all afternoon, and by 10"30 at night are ready for there night. We can hear little bells darting through the house all night, but we are all used to it!:) Did they do that when they were with you? I am guessing they have your sleep pattern as well. Not a problem. I will take some pictures and get them to you in the next few days.
Take care, and thanks again.

Kia
Feb 2007 update: Just wanted to let you know that Kia is doing great! It seems now like we've had her all her life. Tyler's faith in dogs has definitely been restored. I still can't believe that someone would have given her away. She is a fantastic dog and everyone who meets her falls instantly in love with her. Looking at the pictures in the calendar, it's an amazing difference between now and when she came into rescue. Her coat has grown back out and now that she's actually on dog food it is gorgeous. I will send you new pictures soon. For some reason she is afraid of having her picture taken, so it's hard to get good ones of her. Now that I've had her for a while I'm going to try to get her involved with Pets on Wheels. I think it would be a great job for her. Thanks again for letting us adopt her!
June 2007 update: We are in the process of adopting a newfoundand friend for Kia. I also now have a lab since my boyfriend moved in. Her and Kia are now best friends. But, I can still help screen applications and do transport if you need it. Just let me know.
Kia has just finished a basic obedience class (I know you were refunding part of the adoption fee for completing a class- I don't need a refund). She was the star pupil. She will be taking her CGC test when its next offered. I hope to do pets on wheels work with her. She did some agility work in the obedience class (and was very proud of herself), but she's too big to handle actaul agility work- she gets too tired. So, I think we will be taking rally classes in the fall when the weather breaks.
Bandit- My hero!
Bandit is AWESOME! We are absolutely, totally in love with him. He has really adjusted well to the entire family, loves the back yard, is catching frisbees and balls, kissing the cats and is quite the lap dog! He is eating well and lets us know when he wants to go out (he also sneaks some of the cat food if we're not watching - which we've been keeping an eye on). We've taken him for several car rides with us - all you have to do is say 'car' and he's waiting at the front door with that big smile on his face. We took some pictures and I'll send them to you once we get them developed.
Thank you so much for helping us find Bandit - he is a joy and a treasure to us! Kim
Gigi
It is hard for me to write this. G, she has changed my life. I only have happy thoughts of Ebonie now. Before G, I missed Eb so much every day was hard. I would think of her and cry. Now I cry because it is so amazing what G can do. she really doesn't know she has a disability! She is my daughter Markettes inspiration. I know that she loves us as much as we love her, when we come home that tail goes so fast that it makes her wiggle all over the floor.
Every one who has met her loves her. We have had people tell us how lucky G is to have us. It is the other way around; we are truly the lucky ones to have the privilege to have her in our home and to love.. GOD knew what we were to have and it was not the other dog we had applied for that I really wanted. He gave us what was right for us .. I can not thank you for the work you do .. PLEASE if we can help in any way PLEASE just ask G is going on her first candle show with us at the end of the month. We own the Lighted Path Kustom Candles and go to a show each weekend.
Please, anyone, everyone: if you are at a craft show look for us and say Hello to this amazing dog who is the bright spot in our day. You will love her as much as we do.
Again Thank You for all you do.
